Terms of use
Effective October 30, 2026. These terms govern Biblegloss and its related features, content, and services, including future additions. “We” means the operator of Biblegloss. Creating an account or submitting content signifies agreement to these terms and our source-credit policy. Our privacy notice explains our data practices.
Accounts and conduct
Accounts are for adults 18 or older who can enter a binding agreement. Keep credentials secure and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for your activity. Do not post unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, or private material; impersonate others; manipulate votes; spam; scrape or automate abusive traffic; bypass controls; or interfere with security or operation.
Your content
You retain ownership of your submissions. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit them and permit their use. You grant us a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free license, transferable with the service and sublicensable to service providers, to store, reproduce, format, display, distribute, and use submissions to operate, improve, and promote Biblegloss. This license continues as needed for previously shared copies, backups, legal compliance, and other users’ lawful reliance on shared material, subject to applicable privacy rights. Credit and link to sources; do not reproduce excessive copyrighted text.
Moderation and service changes
We may review, reject, edit for presentation or safety, remove content, restrict accounts, or change or discontinue features at our discretion, with notice when required by law. Approval, votes, and talents are not endorsements, credentials, or guarantees. We have no obligation to publish, preserve, monitor every submission, or provide continuous service. Keep copies of anything important. Any future paid service requires separate disclosure and agreement to its price and payment terms.
No reliance or warranties
The service and all content are provided “as is” and “as available,” to the fullest extent permitted by law, without warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, security, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. Content is for general education and discussion, not individualized theological, pastoral, legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. Evaluate sources independently. We do not control or warrant user content, linked sites, embedded media, or third-party services.
Liability and indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Biblegloss, its operator, contributors acting on its behalf, and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or interruption arising from the service. Their aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of US $100 or the fees you paid us for the service in the preceding 12 months. To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold us harmless from third-party claims and reasonable costs, including legal fees, arising from your content, unlawful use, or violation of these terms. Nothing excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Disputes and updates
Connecticut law governs, excluding conflict-of-law rules, and disputes belong in the competent courts of Connecticut, except where mandatory law requires otherwise. Claims must be brought within one year after they arise unless applicable law requires longer. Invalid provisions are limited or severed; the remainder survives. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms and incorporated policies are the agreement for this service. We may update them prospectively by posting a revised effective date and giving additional notice or seeking consent when required. Material changes do not retroactively waive accrued rights.
